Mid-July

July has been nice and quiet lately. After dinners we try and get out for a walk or bike ride, and enjoy the warm (and markedly anti-humid) California evenings. Here is a photo of the three girls enjoying their wheels.

Soakin' up the sun...note that the hair is three shades lighter than in the winter.

The perfect time for an evening stroll.

This last weekend we attended the awesome California wedding reception of two very dear friends. What would a wedding reception be without a dip in the pool? Here's Eve showing off her skills.

Remember reading that sign that said, "Do not leave your children unattended around pool"....this is why.

The frisbee is so not worth it...

Yes, that's quiet little Rach holding the firearm. She speaks softly, but carries a big stick...

A game of volleyball was started, and people flocked to the court to join in. Here is M. showing us how it's done.

You've gotta admit...this guy's got style!

And here is our abstract photo for the day. Points to the person who can explain what she's doing in that position.

Bugguy (also known as Bouncy-Kev) is preparing to spring. I wonder if he ate his frosted flakes for breakfast.

The drive home was magical. The windows were down and the sun was setting as we descended to the valley below.

Busy weeks ahead....

  1. Oatman sure looks good in the orange ear-muffs sporting that boom-boom stick.

Linds is in the serving spot doing an overhand serve?

  2. Lovely post!! I had a great time seeing y'all this past weekend.

I so did not show y'all how it was done! I had no clue what I was doing! :D And I think Lindsey is leaning on her make-believe-other-personality. And I think it is invisible. ;)

Miss everyone over there! See y'all next year!

  3. I think you're close Meli. It looks like Linds is leaning on a large stool, pointing out plays to everyone and imagining a large glass of ice-cold of lemonade. Just a thought :)

  4. I'm thinking it's more an imitation of the Scarecrow from Oz! What fun it was to have everyone up to celebrate. Thanks for coming.
