Well the trip is over! We had an amazing time visiting some wonderful families, and yet it sure is good to be home! During our final weekend on the road we got to fellowship with the Hill family in TX! Thanks guys for an awesome day, and for making us feel so welcome!
By the way, you may have noticed already the lovely glow on our faces, and the drops of water on the camera lens...welcome to the humid south (or Texas, rather...they don't consider themselves "the south")!
Over the final 3 days we covered more than 1,800 miles in around 33 hours. Here we are at a brief gas stop in New Mexico....and it did not nearly feel like we were that high up!
Mom took this photo while driving. Two of her babies are driving in the car behind her, and she was very nervous (I'd be more nervous about the lady driving with the camera in her hand!).
This is one way to pass the time...that is Rach's cute hat, by the way.
We finally made it home at around 5 in the evening. It is tradition for Rach and Eve to kiss the driveway upon our return from every long trip (umm....ewwww!!!!). I choose to take the photo!
And now for the part you've all been waiting for...yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's the before and after photos of the garden!!! You're so excited...I'm sure ;-)

Welcome home!! Our garden before and after shots look just the opposite, thanks to the sheep. Rack of lamb, anyone? I agree, keep your hands on the wheel and your lips off the concrete.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmmmmmmm, and I've enjoyed many of those veggies and fruits! :)
