Tour de Garden (ours and God's)!

The first fruits of the garden are in, and we are enjoying a full blown harvest! Here we are feeling very Irish... french fries anyone?

The bell peppers are really going crazy!

Gold...sheer gold!

Don't we look like a CSA? Look out Lingos... here we come!

"Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole." -Numbers 13:23

In honor of the Tour de France we decided to make a french dinner on Monday night. We just happened to have all of the veggies in our garden!

The
Hector Family dropped in and left us to babysit some sweet little chicks on Tuesday. Eva was in love!

Then on Wednesday we went up to Yosemite for a day on the river. Here is Linds floating on former ice, with Yosemite falls in the background. Once you get past the numbing sensation, and your blood starts circulating again, floating around Yosemite becomes quite an enjoyable experience (just don't plan on bending your fingers for at least 20 minutes after you get out of the water!).
Rach posed with the famous waterfall, as well.

Grandma and Mom opted to float down the river in a boat. Where's the adventure in that?

Teeth: Smiling or Chattering?

The girls preparing for another set of "rapids". Note that Eva chose to lay on her belly for her trip down the river.

Dad caught up with us just in time to ride the last few bends in the river. Here he is being left behind up stream.

After our river run we decided to do what most people do in Yosemite... hike around! Here is part of the family.

And here is the other part! Take notice of our choice of footwear for hiking... what can we say... we're from California.

Now, if this isn't the ultimate "playground" I don't know what is! We could spend days just climbing up and playing on giant, granite rocks like these. I guess some of Dad's love of rock climbing has been passed on to us.

They're safe here in a storm because, "Lightning never strikes the same place twice"... unless it was the tallest tree in a valley which it struck the first time.

  1. I've not been to Yosemite since I was E's age. I think that needs to change! Beautiful photos of the park and your garden produce.
