How's it going to end?

We made it home Friday at 5 p.m.! Here are the details of our last day "On the Road". Due to the amount of time change we went through during the last few days of our travels, we all woke up at 4:30 a.m. Whilst we were laying in our beds talking Mom said, "Do you want to just get up and go?" Why didn't the rest of us think of that before? Here we are driving down the road at around 5:30.

You know you are heading home when the sun rises through the back window!

When the clock hit the time that we were originally planning on leaving we were already 200 plus miles down the road.

These are the high plains of Arizona out our back window. They were beautiful, but we were glad to be passing them by.

Eva took this picture... how artsy! Those are the hills outside of Barstow.

We have a love/hate relationship with the song in the following clip. We love it, because our tradition is to play it as we cross the California border and it means we are home. We hate it, because Al Jolson is singing it.

And here is yet another strange tradition; after every trip around the country the girls kiss our driveway. Rachel started this tradition the first trip we took in 2001, and has done it for all for of the following trips. I don't know when Eva decided to join in the fun.

Well, that's it. We had an amazing time visiting everyone around the country, and we are very glad to be home. Thanks for reading.
